Hobbies Can Help One Manage Mental Health Challenges

I have been battling with mental health challenges for a couple of years. Economic and marital challenges have exacerbated the problem. But what I have found to be helpful is taking up hobbies. For example, I have taken up water colour painting in the last few months. I have noticed that when am painting, I get lost in my happy world and time stands still. This has a very therapeutic effect on me and has helped me heal. I encourage anyone battling with mental health issues to consider taking up hobbies.
